Gardening update (1)

I've planted runner beans, the raspberries are growing and we've cut down a bush!!!

Before and after:

Gardening

Mum & Dad came down this weekend to help in the garden. It was very hard work, but worth it...

We now have a new front security light & my first hanging basket! (And the numbers been moved to be more visible )

We had a planter full of these....and as nice as they are, they had to go!

Now we have this! (More pics to follow when they all bloom)

And freshly filled pots! (Thanks to sandy for the flowers- pics to follow when in bloom)

Finally, we have a lovely wood shed! Hand made & painted by Dave! Just need to fill it now

The Lounge

Sorry, there are going to be a lot of photos...

It's been quite a lengthy process to get it done.

This is what it looked like when we bought the house

This was the first week we lived here

We then bought this beam from eBay (for £10!!!) hoping we could use it in some way (the photo is from the guy we bought the beam from)

Dave and dad then set about putting in the new hearth

We then had our new log burner installed

Followed by the beam & a freshly new plastered chimney breast

And then started painting

And the final product....

(Just need new sofas now!)

Update!

We have our new sofas! (July 2013)

And now a new coffee table (thank you Sara Bassett (August 2013)).

First weekend in the garden!

Cutting lawns, clearing chicken wire, then a BBQ & cocktails!
